On July 1, 2021, was held in the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus the Swearing-in Ceremony of the graduates of the Postgraduate Program “MSc in Shipping Management” of the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus. Having for the second academic year the honorary status of Lecturer in Msc in Shipping and as an active member of the Industry Advisory Board, I participated with great pleasure in the exceptional and highly emotional event that truly inspired me. These students’ efforts to achieve their goal -their Postgraduate Diploma- are a tremendous example of faith, optimism and excellence during critical times especially due to a pandemic that literally sucked the breath of the world. I would like to congratulate each and everyone of the postgraduates students for this difficult mission they managed to complete with absolute success. For what is certain, this rough path has made them stronger and wiser.
In this exceptional atmosphere I had the pleasure to receive from Mr. Angelos Pantouvakis , the President of the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus and Director of the Postgraduate Program “MSc in Shipping Management”, a personal award for my ceaseless contribution, support and educational empowerment of the students.
For me, the guidance and inspiration of the new generation has always been a personal commitment and moral duty having made a resounding journey on the Global Shipping Path. My experience and knowledge will always stand as a beacon of enlightenment for young people seeking Excellence.
