Propeller Club of Piraeus: Plans for strengthening maritime relations between Greece and Egypt

 

On the 6th of December, 2018,  Propeller Club of Piraeus delegation of Governors met with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Greece Mohamed Farib Monib and the Commercial Counselor of the Embassy Mr. Manal Abdeltawab.

The agenda of the visit included a brief presentation and the recent developments of Propeller Club – Port of Piraeus, a discussion on the development of the Egyptian shipping market and the country’s economic development, as well as the potential for the creation of a new Propeller in Egypt.

The Ambassador of Egypt, Mr. Mohamed Farib Monib, described the recent positive developments in Egypt and stressed the desire of the President of the country and its government to rebuild the Egyptian Shipping.

President of the Propeler Club, George Xiradakis promised not only to disclose these business opportunities to the members of the Group but also to organize discussions between businessmen from Egypt and the members of the Group.

Mr Xiradakis also announced to Ambassador Mohamed Farib Monib the Intercontinental Propeller Club’s desire to establish Club Propeller in Egypt as President Joel Whitehead recently expressed when he visited Greece for the AMVER 2018 Award Ceremony
